Description:
Starting Thursday, January 16, this group is intended to be a hybrid between social support and process space for adults (18+) who are under the umbrella of LGBTQ+ identities. We will gather weekly to build community, engage in relationships with each other in a meaningful way, discuss our shared experiences, and provide support.
With seven years of dedicated experience working with LGBTQ+ youth and adults, Jenna is a compassionate licensed social worker who integrates a unique blend of expertise and passion into their practice. With an interest in eco-therapy, Jenna brings a deep appreciation for the healing power of nature to their therapeutic approach. A lover of all things outdoors, they believe that the natural world offers profound opportunities for growth and emotional well-being. Their work focuses on fostering resilience, self-discovery, and empowerment through both traditional counseling methods and nature-based interventions. With a commitment to creating a supportive and nurturing environment, Jenna is dedicated to helping individuals thrive by connecting with themselves, their communities, and the natural world around them.
David is a Peruvian, bilingual, bicultural, and bisexual transgender immigrant. He utilizes strengths-based, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed approaches in order to support clients in navigating mental health challenges, learning or enhancing coping skills, gaining insight about how their past informs their present behaviors and relationships, envisioning a life they want to live, and taking steps towards making their goals a reality.
