The Day of Silence is an event started by GLSEN that calls for recognition of the experiences of LGBTQ youth in our schools. Harassment and bullying silence students. Students can lead events at their school and choose to stay literally silent for a day to draw attention to the event. The Night of Noise is a celebratory event to end the Day of Silence, honoring solidarity and breaking the silence. This year, we hope to remind our community that none of us are alone.
