"Native Women and Allies Speak: What You Weren't Taught in School"
6:30 PM
Boulder Public Library
Description:
In addition to a potent historical overview, this film shares three personal and moving stories about a Native child forced into a Canadian residential school, never to see his parents again; adoption of Native babies and children by whites; and an ongoing, 14-year battle with a Pennsylvania school district to eradicate their racist Redskins mascot that continues today.

This event is organized by a community partner and hosted by the Boulder Public Library.

Leading up to the election and beyond, the Boulder Public Library invites all community members to rediscover the history and importance of voting and civil civic dialogue in our country through our fall Democracy Series. From interactive storytimes to insightful workshops, this engaging series will foster community connections as we navigate this election year together.
