Paid iSAT JIA Lab Study
4:30 PM
Center for Innovation & Creativity
Description:
The University of Colorado Boulder is recruiting students 12-17 years old to participate in a study investigating collaborative problem solving in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics domains.
These studies take place at the Center for Innovation and Technology (CINC; 1777 Exposition Dr, Boulder, CO 80301), room 184G. In the study your child will be working with other participants on a series of group problem solving tasks. We will use cameras and microphones to record the group’s interaction as they work through the task. We’ll also use eyetracking to measure your child’s gaze patterns during the experiment. Collecting video and audio data of your child’s and their group’s interactions is mandatory for this study. If you do not want your child to be recorded with video and microphone, you may decide not to participate in this study at any time.
These studies last 2.5 hours each and compensated $25 per hour ($62.50 total). You cannot earn course credit through this study.
If your child is interested in participating in the study, please email isat.lab@colorado.edu and we will send you an online parental permission form for you to complete as well as online student assent form for your child to complete. Once the forms have been completed, we will send you an email with a link to sign-up for a study session date and time. Your child does not have to participate, and they can stop participating at any time. Finally, should you have any questions, please feel free to email tori.hardy@colorado.edu.
If you wear glasses and are able to wear contacts for this study, please do.
To get directions to our lab, or for more information, please email isat.lab@colorado.edu
